How to Clean a Microwave, Tucson, AZ 85739, Maid Services

Your Microwave - Easy Cleaning

My favorite way is to use a Mr. Clean magic eraser. Just  wet it and wipe nothing but water needed. Fill a small casserole or  microwaveable bowl with a mixture of water and lemon juice (approx 2 cups water  and 2 tbsp lemon juice, but it's flexible). Put it in the microwave uncovered,  and run the microwave for 7-10 minutes - the microwave should run long enough  that the water boils for at least five minutes. This will cover the inside  of the microwave with a water droplets, and the food particles will wipe right  off. More advice from WikiAnswers contributors:

Put apple vinegar or white vinegar in a small bowl. Then microwave for 5  minutes. Then simply wipe with a damp cloth. (NON-TOXIC)Put sliced lemons into a bowl of very hot water and put in microwave. Turn  it on for several minutes. When you pull it out, the food particles will have  softened and the microwave will also smell great. The answers are good. I had a microwave with 2 years of grime and I sprayed  Fantastic with Oxypower on it. I mean soaked it. Let it sit for like five  minutes and it came off like magic without even having to really scrub. And a  Mr. Clean eraser.I just soak 3 paper towels with any normal kitchen cleaner spray,or even Windex  and microwave for 1 min, then I wipe clean w/the paper towels and it works every  time.I clean microwaves with spray Windex with ammonia in it, just spray the  microwave and let it soak a little while, but remember to leave the door open  while soaking, use hot dish detergent soap water in the sink, and wash out very  well, and once it's clean, go back and spray the microwave with the Windex and  paper towels will wipe and shine inside and outside. You can also put some water  in a bowl with about 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Let the water boil in the  microwave. This somehow loosens the food that has been baked on.These are all excellent answers. As I am cleaning my counter or table  I just use the rag I have and dampen it and throw it in the microwave for about  20 seconds and then use the rag to wipe the microwave. I do it about once a  week. Careful the rag will be hot...Mix vinegar and water in spray bottle and soak inside of microwave...after  few minutes, the food, etc. will soften and cleaning is much easier..and  non-toxic!!!--after all, this is where you place food.
